The factors which could speed the wear of the deep

groove ball bearing (1)


Deep groove ball bearing is a kind of component which could be easily worn, and it could not work forever. Deep groove ball bearing has certain lifetime which is called the rated life in condition of proper design, installation, load, lubrication and maintenance. After the deep groove ball bearing has been used for some time, because of the metal fatigue of the rolling body and ferrule, they might be worn, which would enlarge the clearance and reduce the precision of the deep groove ball bearing.

 

If we do the correct installation, lubrication and maintenance, the deep groove ball bearing would reach its rated life or even exceed. Oppositely, the deep groove ball bearing may be worn and damaged rapidly to do harm to the daily working of the machine.

 

We could summarize some of the factors which make the deep groove ball bearing not reach the rated life as follows:

1. When the deep groove ball bearing is installed on the chest hole which has not reached the technical demands, the deep groove ball bearing would incline and emit heat when it is running, and that would wear the deep groove ball bearing;

2. The rotate components installed on the axis, such as motor rotor, water pump impeller and fan impeller, would collide and rub with the components in the chest;

3. We use the heating method when installing the deep groove ball bearing, and if the heating temperature is too high, it would make the deep groove ball bearing anneal thus to reduce the hardness of it;

4. If the central lines of the electromotor and motor units are not coincided, the deep groove ball bearing would suffer some additional load which leads to the rapid wear to the deep groove ball bearing;

5. In condition of rotating with high speed, the centre of gravity of the rotate components would be not balanced with the central line of the axis, and the components would shock because of the centrifugal force thus to make the deep groove ball bearing damaged early. Especially the imprecise production of the rotate components, such as water pump and electromotor, is the main reason of the shock.
