Rust protection of the bearing
pedestal when it is struck by
the conveyor idler bearing
1. Surface cleaning: we should choose proper method to clean the
bearing pedestal according to the feature of the its surface and the
environment. The most generally used methods include solvent cleaning, chemical
cleaning and machinery cleaning. After cleaning the surface, we could dry it by
dry compressed air, or use the dryer with 120 to 170 degrees to dry it, or by
clean gauze;
2. We could steep the bearing pedestal into
the rust-proof grease to make its surface adhere a layer of rust-proof grease.
We could adjust the thickness of the rust-proof grease by controlling the temperature
or viscosity of it. But for some particular components, they are not suitable
for being steeped into the rust-proof grease, so we could choose to brush the
rust-proof material to its surface, while brushing, not only we should not
accumulate the rust-proof material on the surface of the component, but also we
must not miss to brush somewhere.
