Main types and properties of
the rolling bearings (2)
1. Cylindrical
roller bearing
The cylindrical
roller bearing could only suffer radial load, and could not suffer axial load.
For more, the ability of cylindrical roller bearing to suffer radial load is
better than that of the rolling bearing with the same size, especially the
cylindrical roller bearing has a strong ability to suffer shocking load, and it
has a compared higher limit rotate speed.
2. Self-aligning
ball bearing
The self-aligning
ball bearing mainly suffers radial load, could also suffer a little both-track
axial load. The track of the outer circle is a spherical surface which has a
self-aligning property. The axial lines of the inner and outer circle are
permitted to deflect 0.5 to 2 angles. Self-aligning ball bearing is suitable to
be used on the axis with many fulcrums and light bending rigidity.
3. Needle bearing
The rolling body
of the needle bearing is made up of quantities of quill rollers, and the needle
bearing does not have the retainer. Its radial structure is compact to make it
suffer a strong radial load, and it has a low price. The disadvantages: the
needle bearing could not suffer axial load; there is friction among the quill rollers;
the rotate precision and speed is compared lower; the axial lines of inner and
outer circles are not permitted to deflect while working. The needle bearing is
suitable to be used in the environment of low rotate speed.
4. Spherical
roller bearing
Spherical roller
bearing could suffer a large radial load and axial load, the roller is drum
type, the track of the outer ring is spherical surface, and has an automatic
self-aligning property, the axial lines are permitted to deflect 2 to 3 angles,
it is often used in water turbine and hoist.
