The manufacture material of the conveyor idler bearing

The material of the conveyor idler bearing is a kind of sintering friction material, which is made by the method of powder metallurgy, it is a kind of mixed material of metal and nonmetal which has a feature of high friction coefficient and abrasive resistance. This material is usually made up of three parts: the basic metal (copper, steel, or the alloy of them), lubrication particle (Pb, graphite, MoS2), friction particle (SiO, asbestos). The structure feature is that many materials with different properties distribute uniformly in the basic metal to make it perform well in the work.

So the basic metal could have good thermal conductivity and could suffer stress from the machine. The particles which distribute uniformly in the basic metal could ensure the friction feature of the conveyor idler bearing, compared with the traditional asbestos resin and metal friction materials, it has a higher friction coefficient, and it changes very little with the change of temperature, pressure and speed.
