Heat treatment for the
components of the
conveyor idler bearing
The quality control of the heat treatment for the components of
the conveyor idler bearing is very strict. It had made a big progress of the
heat treatment technology in the past 20 years, which reflects in these
aspects: the research to the basic theory of the heat treatment, the research
to the applied technology of the heat treatment, and the development to the new
heat treatment equipments and technologies.
The anneal of the high carbon chromium bearing steel is prepared
for the cold machining and quenching. For the traditional anneal technology, it
is based on the temperature of 780 to 810 degrees and then cooled to 650
degrees below. It would take a long time for this method, usually more than 20
hours, and the carbide particle is not uniform after the anneal which could
influence the following cold machining and the final feature of the conveyor
idler bearing.
So the constant temperature anneal technology is developed, the
advantages of this method are: save the entire time of the heat treatment
process, and the carbide particle is uniform after the heat treatment. So the quality
control of the heat treatment is very important and strict in the whole
machinery industry.
