The damage of the conveyor idler bearing is related with 

the bad lubrication

As researching the reasons for the damage of the conveyor idler bearing, we find that 40 percent of the damage is related with the bad lubrication. If the lubrication grease is too little, the conveyor idler bearing would scrap ahead of time, and if the lubrication grease is too much, the conveyor idler bearing would harm the power coil continuously. That problem has not been solved for a long time. We suggest setting a time scale for the lubrication: the conveyor idler bearing must not be over-lubrication, and also must not be no lubrication continuously.

Monitor the vibration condition of the conveyor idler bearing. The vibration has a big effect on the damage of the conveyor idler bearing, such as exfoliation, indentation, rusting, corrosion, crack and abrasion. We could measure the vibration by using particular vibration measurer to analyze whether the vibration would cause damage to the conveyor idler bearing.

The manufacture technology of the conveyor idler has been more and more advanced, but we often ignore the daily maintenance of the conveyor idler bearing, so to result in some unnecessary loss. So we must enhance to monitor the conveyor idler bearing to prevent it from being damaged.
